[Bologna] Street art in Via Stalingrado

There’s a place in Bologna for all those who are in love with street art and abandoned places.

The place was a former industry (ex zincaturificio for Italians), but from 2016 it became literally an open-air museum of street art. This was thanks to the cultural association of Serendippo within the program R.U.S.C.O. (Recupero Spazi Urbani Comuni).

It’s in Via Stalingrado 63, in Northern Bologna, right behind the Sisal Matchpoint. To access, you have to drive through the parking areas of Sisal and Catch and Carry. At the end of the parking lots there is a covered fence and on its right a small passage. Please, take into account that the area is not controlled and it might not be safe (when we went there, on the side of the plot there were several prostitutes).

The idea of having such a huge place to host graffiti was born as a reaction to the museification of street art by the local Genus Bononiae.

The place it self is stunning due to the size of the construction. We were also so lucky that there was a nice light.

This is the list of the artists that worked in the project:
5074, about ponny, ache77, animelle, Carlos Atoche, casciu, bdn, bibbito pupo, bunker collettivo fx, dada, dirlo, dissenso cognitivo, distruggi la loggia, ente, exit enter, fuori luogo, hazkj, hpc crew, hang, hopnn, incursioni decorative, james boy, k2m, leo borri, loser, luogo comune, marcho, nada, nemo’s, pepe coi bermuda, progeas family, psiko patik, pupa, reve+, ricky boy, sharko, sdp crew, snem, standard, stelle confuse, tadlock, valda, zolta, caesar.
